3 tablespoons roasted sesame seeds, plus some more to sprinkle
Ingredients for chocolate coating
½ Scoop of chocolate chips
2 teaspoons refined coconut oil
Serving Size: 1 Serving
How to prepare chocolate halva dates:
Using a sharp knife, split the dates vertically to remove the kernels.
Mix the ground sesame and a quarter cup of powdered sugar in a medium bowl. Then add cardamom and 3 tablespoons of roasted sesame seeds.
Fill each date with about 1 to 1 teaspoon of the ground sesame mixture.
Spread a sheet of greaseproof paper on a tray and place the stuffed dates on top. Then place the tray in the refrigerator for 15 to 20 minutes.
Pour the chocolate and coconut oil into a bowl and melt in a baking pan. Or you can put it in the microwave for 20 seconds.
Remove the date tray from the refrigerator. Dip each date in half with the melted chocolate and place them back on the greased baking sheet. Sprinkle some sesame seeds on the chocolate dates and return to the fridge until the chocolate coating hardens.
